Vasos Vacíos (Spanish for Empty Glasses) Released in 1994 is the eighth album and first compilation one by the Argentine rock Ska reggae band Los Fabulosos Cadillacs. The album compiles tracks from their first seven albums (1986 to 1992), new arrangements of previous songs, and new songs like "El Matador" (which became the trademark song of the band) and "V Centenario".

Tha album was an immediate success, thanks to the inedits songs breaking the sales records in Argentina and Latinoamerica thus earning a gold disc which are harder to get for compilations[1].

Matador being the song of a freedom fighter had a huge acceptance in the society. A man who has bullets of peace and justice.

The success of the album was so great that earned the band the first MTV Latin Unplugged

Reception

The Allmusic review by Victor W. Valdivia awarded the album 4.5 stars stating "One of the new tracks, "El Matador" became an instant smash on the newly launched MTV Latino, and deservedly so -- the song comes on like a thundering locomotive. The other new track, "V Centenario," is an assault on colonialism that's almost as forceful. Similarly, the re-recorded earlier hits, such as "El Satanico Dr. Cadillac," are delivered with far more energy and muscle than the original versions. Clearly, by this time, the band had become a more confident and cohesive unit... Vasos Vacios is an excellent introduction to the band's unique style. ".[2]
